Sometimes they are purchased and it is not realized the amount of time that is necessary to spend grooming and maintaing this special breed. When the kitten is gone and the newness disappears, there is a matted unhappy baby with a very frustrated owner.

I have 6 Persian cats folks and 3 of them have been adopted from shelters with very little hair left from the grooming necessary to remove matts created by unknowing neglect.
